Assemblyman Angel Fuentes

Angel Fuentes selection to the NJ Assembly in November 2009 and was re-elected in 2011, representing 19 municipalities. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy at St. John Vianney College and Seminary, Miami, Florida, in 1985. He was a member of Camden City Council from 1994 to 2010, and was council president from 2000 to 2010. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Hispanic Leadership Summit of New Jersey since 2011.
Mayra Arroyo
Mayra Arroyo is currently serving as Councilwoman for the City of Vineland. She served in the Vineland Board of Education for seven years. She earned an Associate in Applied Science degree from Cumberland County College in 1991; a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Richard Stockton State College. In 2001 Mayra graduated from Springfield College with a Master of Science in Human Services. She is currently Assistant Director/Counselor of the EOF Program at Rowan University.

Reverend Alberto Buster, Jr.

The Reverend Alberto Buster, Jr., is a Human and Social Services professional and is currently employed by the Camden County Department of Children's Services as a Child Care Subsidy Manager and Policy Specialist. Reverend Buster holds a Master of Divinity Degree in Urban Ministerial Leadership from Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. He  completed undergraduate studies in Pastoral Ministry from Eastern Mennonite University in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Reverend Buster is a long time resident of Pennsauken Township, and resides with his wife Carmen and their three beautiful children.

Jonathan Diego, Esq.

Jonathan Diego, Esq. is the Founder and President of the Hispanic Lawyers’ Organization of South Jersey, LLC. (HiLO).  He is Special Counsel to The Dwyer Law Firm, LLC. (Atlantic City Vineland, Landisville and Newark).  Mr. Diego focuses his practice on Workers’ Compensation, Employment, Criminal and Municipal Court matters.  He graduated with Honors from Mars Hill College, North Carolina (1989), and subsequently earned his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law-Camden (1993).  He resides with his wife, Linda and their two cats, Don Juan and Pumpkin Pie.

Yolanda Jimenez-Colon

Yolanda Jimenez-Colon is a bilingual communications professional with more than seven years of experience in the Hispanic market. Her areas of expertise include strategic partnerships, community relations, media relations, branding, event planning and social media. Yolanda is able to visualize, implement and manage strategies and tactics that are creative and proactive, paying distinct attention to relationship building. Yolanda has done consulting and volunteer work for arts, nonprofits and gubernatorial organizations throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.

Jennifer Martinez
Jennifer Martinez is a top notch professional with over 10 years of experience in managing business relations. She is the first independent female minority-owned certified food distributor in New Jersey and New York. She decided to go into her own business 3 years ago with no regrets. Driscoll Foods serves as her new distributor for her own company JEM Foods, LLC. She serves as primary point of contact for management, sales team, employees, clients and vendors.

Ralph Padilla

Ralph Padilla became the first Latino Chief of the Salem County Prosecutor's Office in 2005 and recently retired. Throughout his career Ralph has been an advocate of diversity in government speaking throughout the nation and in this state on topics ranging from diversity in law enforcement, police accountability standards and minority recruitment practices. He is the Executive Director of the Puerto Rican Action Committee and the publisher of HOLA South Jersey Magazine.

Orlando M. Rivera, Esq.

Orlando M. Rivera, Esq. is an attorney, real estate professional and entrepreneur dedicated to service, value, and professionalism. He is licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with offices in Cherry Hill and Philadelphia. He currently serves as legal counsel to the Dominican American Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey; Legal Director to Achievement Dynamics Institute's web-based startup Achieveopedia.com and is a founding board member of the New Jersey Hispanic Leadership Association.

Betzaleel Rojas

Bezaleel Rojas was born to Dominican parents and reared in Camden, New Jersey. Ms. Rojas received a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University in 1998. During and after college, she volunteered for local politics and served as Commissioner of the Parking Authority of the City of Camden for 9 years. Ms. Rojas is currently the Administrative Aide at Loida Development Center in Camden City.

 

Lydia E. Muñoz

Lydia E. Muñoz, was born to the late Juan N. Rosa and Esmeralda Crespo.  She is the Executive Director of the Spanish Community Center.  She is married to Cecilio Muñoz Sr.  She is the mother of three, Arlene, Cee and Charis.  Her grandchildren, Gerard, Adrianna, CeeAnna, Katie, Robby and Gabriella are her world. Her family is the focus of everything she does.  Her siblings are also extremely important. 

 

Mildred E. Rojas

A teacher, entrepreneur, poet, published author, motivational speaker and recognized community leader. Mildred E. Rojas was born in Dominican Republic, but grew up in Hoboken, New Jersey. She moved to Puerto Rico to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Inter-American University. Later, returned to enroll at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey where she earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a concentration Educational Leadership.

 

She founded Goodseeds Administrative Services, LLC., in 1998 to offer Hispanic small businesses translation, word processing and English. She is also the founder of The Professional Latinas Alliance Network, Incorporated (P.L.A.N.), an organization that raises awareness on teen Latina suicide and ideation.

Marilyn Rodriguez

Marilyn Rodriguez was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico. She attended Harcum Junior College and continued her education at La Salle University in Education and Liberal Arts. She has worked for the Philadelphia Police Department for 15 years as a Public Safety Officer. She is the Producer and Host of Ahora Si radio show that airs live every Saturday on La Mega 1310AM-WEMG. Her show is also re-transmitted in London, Texas, and online PublicarPhilly.

Maritza Alston

Maritza Alston was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico.  She was raised in Camden and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School.  She attended Neumann University. She is the Director of Operations at the Tax Authority, Inc./DBA Jackson Hewitt Tax Service specializing in individual and business income tax. She volunteers and shares her expertise in strategic planning, fundraising and organizing.  She is also an Executive Member of the Parada San Juan Bautista, Inc., a Grant Reviewer with United Way of Greater Philadelphia & South Jersey, and has worked the 2012 Obama Campaign.

Taisha E. Minier

Taisha E. Minier is currently employed at her family owned and operated grocery store. Ms. Minier also currently serves as a member of the City of Camden Board of Education.  She received a Bachelor or Arts in Sociology from Rowan University.

Franchesca Delgado Abed born and raised in New Jersey is of Puerto Rican descent. She completed her high school education at Lakewood High School in Lakewood, NJ. In 2005 she enrolled at Richard Stockton College of NJ where she completed her Bachelors of Science degree in Business with concentration in Accounting and a minor in Economics. She began working in December of 2009 with Ralf's Plumbing as a bookkeeper. In 2010 Franchesca noticed a niche for investors in different Latin countries who needed help managing investments, as such she opened an asset management firm. Since then Franchesca Abed has remained an active accountant for Ralf's and has her company independently operating. She continues to be involved in non-profits and charities that are dear to her heart.

Jennifer Ortiz

Jennifer Ortiz is a lifetime resident of Camden, New Jersey and Mother of three beautiful children: Jai, Francheska and William. She is the owner of a family operated Floral and Event Decorating Shoppe; Creations by Jenn. She is also currently working as an Executive Administrative Assistant to Del Riv Asset Mgmt, LLC.

Jennifer graduated from Computer Learning Centers, LLC., in 2000 with a degree in Information Support. She is also a recent Graduate of Bible Institute Mizpah.
