Real Talk About College Life, Civic Engagement and Leadership...

 

This workshop is designed to help high school students learn the truth about college life.  It will focus on students' expectations of college life, but also the realities, including the opportunities and challenges. They will also learn about the resources and support systems that are available to them that may not know are there for their benefits.  Our panelists will also be joined by a student panelist to answer questions and provide insight into their own experiences.  


Since 2013, we have provided $30,000 in scholarship funds to students throughout South Jersey. If you are interested, please click bar that states: Scholarships.


Above all, students will have the opportunity to attend symposium, educational booths, and Hispanic Cultural Celebration.  They can come in before 9 a.m. to register.


You can pay at the door, $15.00 per student and teacher; it will include continental breakfast and lunch. Any questions or comments, please email us at [email protected] Under title 1, you can bring your junior and senior class to our Annual Hispanic Summit; this could be a good for extra credit or part of the Hispanic Cultural Heritage, career or college exploration, perhaps an essay for a specific class (Spanish class).  Please check with your School District Board to help with payments (some even would provide a school bus to take students to Rowan University.
